Into the Outside (Briefly)

Image
Yesterday seems to have been the worst day of this cold.  It went from -maybe an allegry- to -ugh- overnight.  It is far from gone, but better than yesterday. Here are some happy things from today: Tonight, I am supposed to work. That is my intention. That meant shopping for cold meds today. It was good to get out of the house, even though it is very cold. I wore a mask and wandered around a couple stores for stocking stuffer style gifts. If I was out, I may as well look for things. The important cold medication was not forgotten, so hopefully, I will be all set for tonight. Keziah called to let me know about some of the people that came to the party yesterday. That was nice to hear. It was a game playing party and Gideon apparently did awesome playing Bananagrams. He was rightfully proud for forming the word sequoia.  My friend Stephanie and her husband brought their dog.  Keziah said that he was well behaved.   Bel brought over the birthday cook...

The Week Isn't Over Yet

Image
It is Thursday as I write this.  Normally today would end my work week.  Not this week.  Here are some happy things: Today at work the food was Crumble cookies.  Cookies are not truly a meal.  There are enough calories that I was not very hungry when I got home though.  It was delicious.  It was Crumbl's version of a golden Oreo. Yesterday I seem to have had enough sleep.  Other than a slow hour or so I was very much awake at work.  Yay, sleep! At home I went outside to try to get an artsy picture of the wild sweet William.  I also found what appears to be a yellow daylily.  I have done nothing for gardening this year.  I'm enjoying finding some of the things that are popping up. Wild sweet William.  Yellow daylily  Yesterday, Keziah hung a gown on the line to dry and went to work.  The rains came and Gideon brought it inside.  I found it in a ball on the couch, still damp.  I hung it in the living room...

Cookie!

Here are some happy things from this lovely Thursday: After work I had a nice little nap.  The little nap gave me a little energy later on.  I started installing the closet shelf.  I didn't get far though because the power screwdriver was at the store and my little energy was already running out.  Tomorrow I'll try to finish that. Yes, those are my feet resting against the wall. Over the stairway in my room there are three built-in shelves.  They are deep and I have been unsure about what to put in them.  It turns out I can easily fit two inkle looms on the middle shelf.  I'm sure other things will also find room on that shelf, but for now it is home to two looms.  The bottom shelf is currently a catch all area while I still try to set things up.  The top shelf will be things I don't need often. Looms inside their fabric bags. Keziah brought home cookies from a place called Social Club .  The cookie is a coffee cake cookie and it is deli...

Snow Day

Image
Happy things for Saturday: When I woke up in the early pre-dawn morning, the snow was reflecting all the light it could find.  It was pretty, from the inside of the house.  I went back to sleep. Later in the day the snow turned to rain.  Through the window, it was still pretty outside.  Keziah didn't open the store because of the storm. Today was a day that mostly included resting.  I stayed inside.  Some of the few things I accomplished include making dinner, dishes, laundry, and cleaning out one of my drawers.  I even found a few things that aren't going back into the drawer, yay! Zed went out late in the day and picked up some garlic bread to go with lasagna.  He also went to Crumbl and picked up some cookies.  They were delicious cookies.
