2024 Happy Blog Challenge Continues

Here are some happy things from today: This morning Zed picked me up at the place I was getting my car worked on.  He bought me a peppermint steamer on the way home.  It was yummy.  After that I spent most of the day watching Keziah play a video game.  It has a story based between the fighting parts.  I think I just liked being with family. When my car was finished, Bel and I decided to go on a short walk.  We drove north of the city to the rail trail.  There is a bridge there that I thought was interesting and wanted to show Bel.  When I was about halfway across the bridge I remembered that I didn't ever want to go over it again.  We made it over and continued to walk a little before turning around.  It was getting dark and I wanted to be over the bridge again while there was still light.  It was a nice little walk.  The fresh air was good. Happy Boxing Day! Here are some happy things from my day. This morning, early, I had a mental list of the things I wanted to get accomplished. It was too early to do any of those things so I let myself be distracted by games, reading, and my Amazon Wishlist. Later, I went to spend time with the family. It was a relaxing day. Around 4:30 in the afternoon I suddenly realized that I had goals for the day that I didn’t do! A few internet searches later and I was out the door. The dealership was still open so I could purchase a new gas cap for my car, yay! This is the day that the town office is open until seven so I got my car registered, yay! I made an appointment to get my brakes fixed tomorrow morning, yay! Perhaps next time I have important, time sensitive items to do I will write them down or set an alarm on my phone so I don’t forget.  😂 The sky as I headed to the town offices. Happy May Day!  Apparently, along with May Day and Beltane, today is Mother Goose Day.  Here are some happy things from today: The leaves on the lilac are almost completely out.  Can you tell I'm eager for them to bloom? My protege and I had a nice little visit when she gave me a ride to the auto place today.  It is always nice to spend time with a friend. I now own a car.  It is very used, but I hope to get some good use out of it.  It is a Kia Optima, 2010.  It is quite different from Zed's Kia Nero.  Now we will need to be more specific when referring to the cars in the driveway.  Saying we need to move the Kia won't be enough. Happy things for today: Most of the weekend I spent painting and cleaning in the apartment bedroom.  This takes me outside in the back of the house.  Leaving today and being in the front of the house, I noticed more tulips are blooming.   Keziah and I took a ride to a used car dealership and I put a down-payment on a 2010 Kia Optima.  I will pick it up on Wednesday.  I also test drove a 2012 Suzuki Crossover with a manual transmission.  It was a fun drive, but didn't quite meet my needs. ☮ Started listening to: Earthsea: The Tombs of Atuan , by Ursula K.  Happy things from today: The initial plan I had for today was to help out Keziah at the store.  Unfortunately, I did something to my back, in a different way than a few months ago.  By the time I stretched, took the ibuprofen, and finished the things I needed to do around the house, Keziah was off doing other errands.  It took a little bit, but I'm happy to say the ibuprofen seemed to help, at least temporarily.  Instead of helping at the store, I went to the studio and worked on photos again.  My task is to find photos of Keziah and her SCA life.  I scanned some yesterday and organized them on the computer today.  Here is one of my favorites. The other task I managed today was to go to a couple of used car places.  I test drove a 2008 Volvo.  I'm going to do a little more research before choosing anything.   I'm pleased I was able to do this.  Here are some photos I took while I was driving back from car shopping.  ...
