Pothos

Happy Friday!  Here are some things that made my day happy: Almost my entire day was spent at DIY Craft & Thrift.  I parked my car up the street about ¾ of a mile away and walked to the store from there.  As we get closer to Autumn the days are cooling, making walking more comfortable.  It made for a lovely walk.  I remembered to bring my headphones and listened to music as I walked the city street to the store.  The music put a smile on my face and some pep to my steps. At the store I helped Keziah organize her plant.  She has had a pothos plant for about a year (since she opened the store) and it is flourishing.  We spent time untangling the vines and then carefully hooking them to the ceiling.  Keziah puts beads on the ends of the vines to note growth.   Most of the time I was at the store sewing.  Finishing seams is my priority right now.  I have another project to work on before next weekend too.  At this poi...

The Ides of March

Some happy Friday things: Yesterday I wrote about making lists of things to do. I am happy to report that I did the things on the list that I set out to do today. I saw one pull what seemed to be a worm out of the ground! Every time Nanni does something similar to what she did before she was sick, is a good thing. My friend Amy and I planned on taking ...

Happy things from Leap Day: There were opportunities for me to not go to work last night.  I didn't take them.  I got out of work about two hours early to start my weekend.  I was able to use some of my swag bucks (fake money work gives people for doing things, sometimes that is just showing up) to get a new backpack.  I'm planning to use it to bring my lunch and other work related belongings to work.  It is nice though, and I may get another to use as a computer bag instead of my Camelbak backpack.   At home I took a nap.  It was a good nap.  Sometimes I have a hard time sleeping Thursdays, today that was not a problem. At Keziah’s store she has a plant.  Recently she repotted it and the plant looks a lot happier. My ex-husband, his wife, and I went to the Mansion at the Kimball-Jenkins School of Art.  Our friend, Robert, gave us the tour.  I've done it before, but there always seems to be something new to notice or something ...
