Walk at a Lake

Happy Monday!  Here are some things that brought some joy to me today: On Mondays I try to get up early so I can get to sleep in the afternoon to be able to get up to work overnight Tuesday. I woke up before my alarm and I got some exercises in this morning.  Since I like spreadsheets, I also started one to keep track of what exercises I'm getting done. It is my goal to get at least something done everyday, more on days I don't work. Today I got a little bit of everything on the list done. The list will probably grow as I think of more more parts to exercise.  This afternoon I got to walk with my friends Amy and Stephanie. We walked along the Rockingham Rail Trail near Lake Massabesic. It was much busier than I expected for a Monday. We also had high temperatures around 79 degrees, so maybe I should have expected it.  Nice walk, great company. Ducks! The Inktober prompt I chose for today was drive. I don't really like either of the drawings I did, but the pen...

A Walk in the Park

Happy things from today: Spinning the wheel to determine where to put my energy for fifteen minutes has a new added benefit.  After spinning the wheel and turning to take my before picture, I heard a noise.  Nanni decided that she wanted to spin too!  That was fun to watch!   Nanni spinning the wheel. 'Desk' is what the arrow was pointing to when I spun it.  It doesn't look like much has changed after fifteen minutes, but I got rid of a bunch of old receipts and some trash.  My pockets tend to get emptied onto the desk. Before After Trash and recycling  The timer was set for Weaving too.  I didn't quite weave for fifteen minutes though.  I got to the end point of the background section and decided that starting the next pattern could wait.  Still, progress was made. Just a little more than an inch was woven today, I think. There were errands to run today.  In between, I met my friend, Amy, for a walk.  We met at Livingston...

Walking by a Lake

Some happy things from today: This morning I met a friend I used to work with for a walk.  We haven't seen each other in quite some time.  We are going to try to meet weekly for walks.  It was great to catch up. Our walk today was near Lake Massabesic.  The lake was lovely with the sun shining and ducks swimming. After our walk I went on some errands and got a covid booster.  One of the errands was at REI.  I had some gift certificates to use there and decided on a nice pair of Black Diamond trekking poles.  I realized on the ride home that should I decide to hike the Appalachian Trail, this purchase pretty much finishes the things I can get way ahead of time.  What I need is money, time, and a new body!! 🤣   Trekking poles in the background. ☮ Currently listening to: My Family and Other Animals , by Gerald Durrell. Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
