A Little Snow

Image
Here are some things that brought me some happiness today: There was a small amount of snow last night. It wasn't too much, but enough to shovel. The temperatures were above freezing so the snow spent most of the day melting. I'm liking my new shovel, Snow Joe Shovelution. The small extra handle makes it easier to toss the snow and I bend down less. There were some tracks in the snow left by a deer. The deer had a hard time getting up the driveway in the same area that I did the last time it snowed. I made a list of things to do and did some of everything on the list. In hindsight, there are a few things I should have added, but progress is progress. An email came from my bank today about my credit score. For some reason I checked out the information. There was a place where it said that I was 100% on time with my payments. Well, I am so glad that I looked at that because I forgot to pay my mortgage this month! Seeing that reminded me and I paid it right away. Phew! ...

CW: Deer Bones

It is a stressful few days for me.  Here are some happy things from today: Today was voting day.  I don't want to get into politics on my blog today.  I appreciate that I have lived in a country where people have the right to vote and am happy that I was able to vote today.  I'm avoiding the roller-coaster of election results.  CW- A few years ago we found a fairly fresh deer carcass on the back property with coyote tracks.  We tried to process the bones and found it difficult.  After some research we found that we could just use nature and partially bury the remains.  Today we uncovered them and they seem to have come out pretty well.  A friend who knows more than we do about bones, has taken them to clean them up.  I'm happy that this seemed to have worked. I look forward to what the artsy people I know will create.  I've posted one simple bone picture at the end.  The other pictures from today will eventually make it onto my...

Tired Day

As the packages came down, sometimes there were packages sorted into the wrong aisle.  I started being a little frustrated, then changed my frame of mind.  There were two new people and one other (one of the people I lunch with who has been on leave for about a month) that were sorting ahead of me.  I decided that every wrong package was someone before me saying hello.  It helped my mood. It was still dark on my ride home.  The crescent moon said hello to me, rising in the distance. When I got home from work, the crescent mo...
