A Little Snow

Image
Here are some things that brought me some happiness today: There was a small amount of snow last night. It wasn't too much, but enough to shovel. The temperatures were above freezing so the snow spent most of the day melting. I'm liking my new shovel, Snow Joe Shovelution. The small extra handle makes it easier to toss the snow and I bend down less. There were some tracks in the snow left by a deer. The deer had a hard time getting up the driveway in the same area that I did the last time it snowed. I made a list of things to do and did some of everything on the list. In hindsight, there are a few things I should have added, but progress is progress. An email came from my bank today about my credit score. For some reason I checked out the information. There was a place where it said that I was 100% on time with my payments. Well, I am so glad that I looked at that because I forgot to pay my mortgage this month! Seeing that reminded me and I paid it right away. Phew! ...

Happy first day of December.   Here are some things from today that made me happy: When I finally got up and got going this morning, I made a list and stuck to it.  I went through a box and emptied it.  Some of it went to the trash and some just got moved around/put away.  There was a pile of Avon jewelry that I kept.  Everything was still in the boxes.  This is a problem I have, keeping boxes.  The jewelry is now put away and the boxes are in the recycle bin.  Yay, downsizing!   I also did some cleaning in my room, laundry, and dishes.  In my room I have a thing my mom made when I was a kid. It hangs and has little pockets on it. I'm sure I thought the fabric was really groovy.  Apparently I still do since I want to keep it.  I've been trying to figure out what to use it for and realized last week that my wallet fits into one of the pockets quite nicely.  I had some pins on it too and added some more from the je...

Today the Learning Coordinator asked me and two other potential candidates to train some of the new hires in the Pick & Stage process.  I really enjoyed it.  Unfortunately, I still think my schedule will be a big enough factor with getting the position that I won't get it.  It was a fun diversion from the normal routine.   It also inspired me to look at different options and training I could get through my job.  If only I knew what I want to do when I grow up!  🤣  One weird thing that has been on my mind lately is how the company I work for is international.  Theoretically, I think I could relocate to different parts of the world.  I actually looked up costs of living in some other countries today.  It is more expensive to live in Iceland than the US, but less in Spain.  What if I was brave enough to move, temporarily, to ...
