World Penguin Day

Happy Thursday things: There were  Voluntary Time Off opportunities that I missed for not working today.  Work went fine, I was just tired and have a lot to do in the apartment.   I ended up leaving 20 minutes early.  This gave me the time (and money) I needed to stop and get an extender for the paint roller.  The time off would have been nice, but I'm glad I stayed.   When I got home, I took a nap.  It was a deep, restful sleep.  I wish it was longer. In the apartment I painted more.  It seems that the former color is hard to cover.  Tomorrow I will buy more paint and things.  I have a friend coming over to help.  🙂  My goal is to finish enough of the painting tomorrow that I can start moving in on Saturday.  🤞 Looking out the window I noticed the beginnings of leaves opening.  One of the rhododendron plants is starting to show some color as well.  I love the changes that happen in spring. 🐧☮🐧...

Happy Spring!

Happy first day of spring! My work week is two thirds of the way over.  We had a Safety Committee meeting today.  They had some new vests for us.  That is good because mine is not looking clean anymore, no matter how much I seem to wash it.   I'm looking forward to the first weekend of spring.  It might snow.   The leaf buds on the lilac are more noticeable today.  I know some people are allergic to the flower, I love them.  The flower blooms sometime in May usually. ☮ Currently listening to: Divergent Mind , by Jenara Nerenberg.  Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.

Weaving Wednesday

Happy Weaving Wednesday! At work tonight they assigned me to stow.  Stowing is what I was trained for first, but seldom do it now.  During lunch, someone came up and told me that I would be going to Problem Solve after lunch.  I felt like a weight had been lifted and a large smile crossed my face.  I knew that things had to be busy over there, or they wouldn't need me.  It was just the break I needed from stowing.  There was a lot to do at Problem Solve and I enjoyed it all. There was also a Safety Committee meeting today.  They served pizza.   It seems that I am anxiously awaiting signs of spring.  I even seemed to find some.  It looks like the iris plants are already popping up.  This particular area has tubers coming out of the ground, it is so full of plants.  I thinned some up two years ago, but there is still a lot more that can go. Since it is Wednesday I decided to pull out my loom and see if I could figure out the...
