Sixty is a Big Number

Here are some happy things from my birthday: Turning 60 meant starting my day with some ibuprofen.  🤣 At work I was assigned to the Problem Solve area.  I only mentioned to one person that it was my birthday.  It was a moment that it seemed okay to bring it up in conversation.  Other than that, people at work didn't know and I'm okay with that.  They brought in food for us from the Pressed Cafe.  I clocked out of work at 12:19 P zzassss on 12/19.   After work I went to Keziah’s store.  She wasn't there though.  Bel, Zed, and some friends were there so I got to be with people.  After some lunch, Bel and I walked along Main Street to the Capitol where there are some holiday displays.  One of them is controversial and has received some vandalism.  That makes me sad.  I am glad that I got to see what displays are there.   I bought Bel a pair of shoes for my birthday.  🤣  Seriously though, they needed...

Happy November

It is hard for me to believe that it is November already.  The weather has been warmer than normal, making it seem more like spring.  Here are some happy things from today: This morning I spent some time cleaning.  I opened the windows for a while and let the warm, fresh air into the apartment.  I even cleaned the freezer. As night settled in we picked up some food and headed for Craft Night.  After rummaging through some things in the studio I found some jewelry making supplies.  It seemed as good a time as any to try some of that again.  Some people in the SCA are calling this Novice November.  It is to inspire creativity with new crafts.  I decided to use some of the jewelry making supplie...

Archery Day!

Some happy things from today: My archery marshal friend held her first archery practice of the year.  It was great to get out and practice again.  We didn't shoot for very long, the tips kept coming off the arrows.  I went there with nine arrows and came home with five.  Thankfully, my friend knows how to fix them and offered to.  We did a group of rounds for scoring (I scored 51) and some just for practice. There were a few different friends at archery practice that I got to visit with.   There are some trails not too far from where I shoot archery.  It was my intention to go there after shooting.  I forgot and headed a different way towards home.  Instead, I hiked at Winant Park in Concord.  There are many different trails and I found some I haven't been on before.  So far the best views are from near the top of this hill.  From one side, there is a view of some mountains to the west ish.  From the other side...
