The Week Isn't Over Yet

Image
It is Thursday as I write this.  Normally today would end my work week.  Not this week.  Here are some happy things: Today at work the food was Crumble cookies.  Cookies are not truly a meal.  There are enough calories that I was not very hungry when I got home though.  It was delicious.  It was Crumbl's version of a golden Oreo. Yesterday I seem to have had enough sleep.  Other than a slow hour or so I was very much awake at work.  Yay, sleep! At home I went outside to try to get an artsy picture of the wild sweet William.  I also found what appears to be a yellow daylily.  I have done nothing for gardening this year.  I'm enjoying finding some of the things that are popping up. Wild sweet William.  Yellow daylily  Yesterday, Keziah hung a gown on the line to dry and went to work.  The rains came and Gideon brought it inside.  I found it in a ball on the couch, still damp.  I hung it in the living room...

Weary Wednesday

Here are some happy things from today: For the first part of my work night, I felt like I had everything under control.  Eventually things got crazy and I needed help, but that was okay.  Pretty much everyone on my line needed help.  It was a busy work night, and that felt good.   After work, I was weary.  I've got over 27,000 steps on my FitBit, so I think it is a good weary. I trekked out to the front yard to see what is blooming.  There are two types of daylilies and evening primrose.  The butterfly bush isn't quite blooming yet. Orange daylily Yellow daylily Primrose Butterfly bush on the left, not quite blooming. ☮ Currently listening to: Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity , by Peter Attia MD, Bill Gifford (Editor).  Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.

Color TV Day

Here are some happy things from today: At work this morning I ended up with some heat related badness.  It was within my first hour of work.  They let me take a break.  When I went back to work I went slower.  After 3 AM I was able to work outside for a bit.  That helped a lot!  I'm happy that I made it through the rest of the shift and that I'm feeling better.   At home I decided to take it easy.  I stopped to notice the orange daylilies.  Soon there will be many more blooming. According to this website , today is Color TV Day.  Here is a little memory.  Every year The Wizard of Oz was broadcast on TV.  Every year I watched it.  If you have never seen the movie, and don't want spoilers, stop reading now.  At some point I noticed that it claimed to be recorded in color.  We had a black and white TV.  So every year I watched it in black and white.   Eventually, when I was a teenager and my old...
