Boxing Day

Happy Boxing Day! Here are some happy things from my day. This morning, early, I had a mental list of the things I wanted to get accomplished. It was too early to do any of those things so I let myself be distracted by games, reading, and my Amazon Wishlist. Later, I went to spend time with the family. It was a relaxing day. Around 4:30 in the afternoon I suddenly realized that I had goals for the day that I didn’t do! A few internet searches later and I was out the door. The dealership was still open so I could purchase a new gas cap for my car, yay! This is the day that the town office is open until seven so I got my car registered, yay! I made an appointment to get my brakes fixed tomorrow morning, yay! Perhaps next time I have important, time sensitive items to do I will write them down or set an alarm on my phone so I don’t forget.  😂 The sky as I headed to the town offices. The reason I needed a gas cap was because my check engine light turned on and that was the si...

Helping Hands

Happy things from today: This morning I thought about picking up a small shift at work.  Really, I did.  I chose to do nothing but scroll the internet and rest my body from a busy weekend.  There were Facebook discussions about many different class ideas I would like to take, like wood carving and knot tying.  The internet kept me entertained this morning.  In the afternoon Keziah and I went to help a friend move.  They were all packed up and just wanted help cleaning the place up.  It feels good to be helpful. ☮ Currently listening to: Tales From Earthsea , by Ursula K. Snow Day

Happy things for Saturday: When I woke up in the early pre-dawn morning, the snow was reflecting all the light it could find.  It was pretty, from the inside of the house.  I went back to sleep. Later in the day the snow turned to rain.  Through the window, it was still pretty outside.  Keziah didn't open the store because of the storm. Today was a day that mostly included resting.  I stayed inside.  Some of the few things I accomplished include making dinner, dishes, laundry, and cleaning out one of my drawers.  I even found a few things that aren't going back into the drawer, yay! Zed went out late in the day and picked up some garlic bread to go with lasagna.  He also went to Crumbl and picked up some cookies.  They were delicious cookies. Tired Day

Yesterday's decision to stay up late to see Gideon and the rest of his middle school's music students perform, made work difficult.  I came home early and went back to sleep for a while.  Here are some happy things: At work I was sorting packages as they rolled down the belt.  This has been giving me motion sickness.  It wasn't as severe tonight, so that was good.  Perhaps this side effect of medication will go away. As the packages came down, sometimes there were packages sorted into the wrong aisle.  I started being a little frustrated, then changed my frame of mind.  There were two new people and one other (one of the people I lunch with who has been on leave for about a month) that were sorting ahead of me.  I decided that every wrong package was someone before me saying hello.  It helped my mood. It was still dark on my ride home.  The crescent moon said hello to me, rising in the distance. When I got home from work, the crescent mo...
