Long Monday

Ice (hail or sleet or ...) woke me in the middle of the night bouncing off the window air conditioner.  Soon after I also heard a roll of thunder.  Somehow, I let those sounds lull me back to sleep.  Here are some other happy things from today: This morning I had an appointment for my ultrasound.  Every year I have an ultrasound and appointments to monitor my thyroid because I have Hashimoto's Disease.  Today I had two ultrasounds.  First, a student did everything, then a licensed tech came in, and did it all again.  I also had a thyroid blood test. Here are some happy things from today: Due to a secret project, I've been learning something new.  It's been fun.  There will be more information about this when the project is no longer secret. 🤫 I voted!   With the wonders of modern technology, I received the preliminary results of today's mammogram within three hours of the scan.  At this point, everything is negative.  Yay! ☮ Currently listening to: Tales From Earthsea , by Ursula K. Le Guin. Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.

This year I made changes to my health insurance and signed up for an FSA (Flexible Spending Account).  I don't know how to use it.  I also don't remember getting anything in the mail about it.  I looked at my pay information to be sure it was really something that was being deducted, and it is.  I'm happy for that.  I'll figure the rest out another time.  Looking at my pay information reminded me of things (other than income) that are good about having a...
