Working Title

Happy Wednesday things: Work went fairly well last night.  This is the second day in a row I've stayed about an hour late.  It has been busy and there has been a bunch to do.   What I thought was the last rose seems to have blossomed a sibling?  It makes for a pretty splash of color. I don't draw well.  Perhaps I'm coming to terms with this.  Since I am behind on the Inktober prompts I did two today.  My skill is lacking, but even if it isn't obvious in the work, I like what I'm trying for and that my imagination wants to wake up in this way.  ☮ Currently listening to: The Silmarillion , by J. R. R. Tolkien.  Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.

Eclipse Day

Today April 8, 2024, there was a total eclipse of the sun.  Here are some happy things: Somehow, the drive to the other side of Vermont didn't seem as long as I expected.  Maybe that was because Zed was driving.  I was able to go between looking at the beautiful scenery and playing games on my phone.  We arrived at our planned location, St. Albans, VT, a little after 8:00 AM.  The eclipse didn't start until after 2:00 PM.  We had time to kill.  I had some anxiety about traffic on the way there, we missed any morning traffic. We found a place at the park to set up and I went back to the car to try to take a nap. When I got back to our spot, someone with musical instruments had set up not far from us.  Not only did we have some lovely music to listen to, they had many instruments and Gideon was able to go over there and play instruments with them.  We made sure to thank them for their time and attention to Gideon during the day.  We also t...

Busy Day

What a wonderful Friday!  Here are some happy things from today: This morning, some SCA friends came by to look at the property.  We are hoping to have some of the people involved with the Forester's Guild come by and utilize our woods and property to learn and practice things that Foresters do.  We are excited by this opportunity.  The only problem is the amount of pricker bushes and ticks.  We have ideas on how to lesson some of these things a little. Sometime during the week Bel and someone else worked at Keziah’s store in the backroom.  They did some amazing work getting things organized.  There is still much to do, but it is looking so much better.  The store gets so many donations it is hard to keep up. Bel and I got to go on a little hike today.  We went to Muchyedo Banks Wildlife Management Area .  I've been there one other time about two years ago with a group of friends.  It is a very pretty walk.  Bel and I are tryin...
