Too Much Info

My first happy thing for today is long and has information that I don't like to share.  I'm sharing anyway, because baby steps are important.  Feel free to skip it if you're short on time.

  • If you have read my blog in previous years you know I have a problem with stuff.  I have too much of it and I can't keep what I have organized.  Lately, I haven't tried.  This is much different compared to my work areas which I try to keep very organized.  I've allowed myself to become overwhelmed so much that I can't move.  I'll want to do things but can't decide where to start and don't.  The spinner I got is to help relieve some of this anxiety.  I'm also only dedicating fifteen minutes to this on days where I have the energy.  Yesterday I spun my spinner and it landed on trash so I took out the trash in my room.  Today I spun the spinner, it landed on trash… so I spun again and it landed on desk.  My desk is overflowing.  I set the timer and went through things on my desk for only fifteen minutes.  There was only a small dent made, but it was enough to give me the hope that this might work.  Somewhere, I think I still have a trivet that was my mom's.  It said, “Come in, sit down, relax, converse, our house doesn't always look like this, sometimes it's even worse.”  I have no idea who to attribute that quote to.  Anyhow, I'm aiming at being less worse.

  • I found an app called Mandoo on Google Play that a person can use to design mandalas.  It isn't exactly what I was looking for, but close.  I had fun playing with it.  I haven't tried printing it yet.

  • We had the first real snow of the season today.  I don't know how many inches we got, but I think more than six.  It was still snowing some when the plow guy came.

This picture was taken just after four.
The snow supposedly ended around 8:30 PM.

  • Keziah chose to be snowbound at the studio all weekend.  We missed her, and in the evening Zed, Gideon, and I played some games.  We played Kluster and Calico.  Both are fun.

Currently listening to: Robin, by Dave Itzkoff.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
