Self-care

Happy Monday things:

  • This morning, I had about six things that I wanted to do.  This afternoon I had done three of them.  One of the things I decided could wait, the others were me being lazy… but I'm going to call it self-care.  ☺
  • One thing that wasn’t on my list that I might have accomplished is thanks to Gideon.  We have a door that has only been working from the inside for quite some time.  It has a numeric pad that a code needs to be entered in order to work.  We have three doors with this style latch.  Gideon noticed something about the working door that we always use and then asked me if we tried taking the battery out of the one that didn't work.  I changed the battery and now it works!  I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of that months ago.  It is possible that something else went wrong and my taking it apart a little and putting it back together is what fixed it.  Either way, it works again, yay!
  • Instead of trying to go to sleep when I felt wide awake, I took a walk.  The February cold is coming back with snow coming overnight.  It was nice and sunny for my walk.  The sun was almost set when I came in.  Hopefully, I'll be able to get to sleep so I can be awake for work tonight.

Sunset

The crescent moon is in this picture and the previous one with the setting sun.

Currently listening to: The Blue Zones of Happiness: Lessons from the World's Happiest People, by Dan Buettner.

Still reading the book I didn't intend to, Saving Nora.  The author appears to be Josh Williams.

Thank you for being part of my happy things.  Stay safe.
