Tired Day

Yesterday's decision to stay up late to see Gideon and the rest of his middle school's music students perform, made work difficult.  I came home early and went back to sleep for a while.  Here are some happy things:

  • At work I was sorting packages as they rolled down the belt.  This has been giving me motion sickness.  It wasn't as severe tonight, so that was good.  Perhaps this side effect of medication will go away.
  • As the packages came down, sometimes there were packages sorted into the wrong aisle.  I started being a little frustrated, then changed my frame of mind.  There were two new people and one other (one of the people I lunch with who has been on leave for about a month) that were sorting ahead of me.  I decided that every wrong package was someone before me saying hello.  It helped my mood.
  • It was still dark on my ride home.  The crescent moon said hello to me, rising in the distance. When I got home from work, the crescent moon was hiding behind a hill, so there was no attempt at a picture.
  • I took the day mostly to rest.  In the afternoon, before getting ready for bed, I stepped outside for some fresh air.  The walk I thought I would take, never happened, and I wanted a picture to share.  I didn't go too far before I found some deer tracks going between two of our backyards.  This brings home how much I miss walking and really need to get myself motivated more often.  Alas, it was time to write and sleep.
Deer prints.

My feet and prints.

Thank you for being part of my happy things.  Stay safe.
