Easter Sunday

Happy Easter and Happy Transgender Appreciation Day.  Zed, Keziah, and Gideon went to visit Zed's dad for an Easter dinner.  I chose to stay at home and have a little down time.  Here are some happy things from today:

  • While at the SCA event yesterday I volunteered to help the person in charge of making sure all the end of year reports from the local treasurers are ready to send off to the national level. We met over Google Meets. Zed let me use his monitor with my laptop so I could have a larger surface to view the financial reports.  It helped a lot and I am thankful I have such a kind son-in-law. It was nice to have the time to be able to help out a friend.
  • Winston, the orange tabby, seemed to want to help out with the reports.  I'm not sure if it was Winston or me, but one of us pushed the button on Zed's desk and it started to rise into a standing desk.  I laughed and decided to rise with it.  This made Winston very happy as he immediately took over the office chair I had been using and he took a nap.  He knew what he wanted.


  • In the evening I took a short walk.  The air was brisk and fresh.  I'm glad I got out of the house for a little while today.

Wow, Long and PICTURES

What a wonderful day!  Here are some happy highlights and a bunch of pictures. My friend Stephanie (I got her permission to use her name) and I started out later than planned but Magalloway Mountain wasn't too long of a drive from where we camped.  After driving over miles of dirt roads we ended up at the trailhead.  We chose to go up the Bobcat Trail and down the Coot Trail.  The Bobcat Trail is a narrow trail that doubled as a small brook in places. 😉  When we got to the top of the mountain there was a trail to an overlook and we went there first.  The overlook was over a cliff, but it was beautiful and we could see so far.  The tower view was also spectacular and gave us a 360 degree view.  I don't know where the borders are, but from where we stood in New Hampshire we could see Canada and Maine, probably Vermont, too. Otter's Welcome

Some happy things from today: There is a picture I have from a few years ago of my adult children with lilacs in their hair.  This included Bel's generous beard.  Keziah picked some this morning so we could have some in our hair at an SCA event in Massachusetts, Otter's Welcome.  This is an event that is aimed with newcomers in mind.  There is a little bit of most categories to do or observe.  Keziah ran children's point.  I visited with a few people.   Keziah In the middle of the day I started falling asleep.  I ended up napping in the car for a little while.  There was a class I wanted to take, but it was when I was resting. This is also when the weather decided to rain.  That break was needed and I think I enjoyed the rest of the day more because of it. Happy Friday

There is one more night for me to work this week.  I have Sunday off and I'm back to work Monday thru Thursday.  My happy things for today: A little while after I got home from work, I remembered that I needed to do laundry.   Yay clean clothes to wear to work tonight! There was lost & found at the event last weekend.  I brought it to the studio this afternoon so that it can be returned to its owner.  I also got to see a few friends.   I also stopped by Keziah’s store and was able to see the family and some friends.  I don't usually spend so much time out and about on working days.  I'm glad I got to see people.  I'm especially glad that I was able to sit down with the family and get closer to firming out plans for this weekend and vacation.  Bel & Keziah ☮ Currently listening to: Dune Messiah , by Frank Herbert.
