Friday!

-From Friday, March 29th... posted wrong the first time.  My apologies if you wanted Easter eggs.-

 Happy Friday things:

  • This morning I didn't take as much time getting going as usual (for a Friday), but I definitely dragged my feet.  Work was offering Voluntary Extra Time and I kind of wanted it, but not a lot.  I got all ready to go, and then accepted the extra hours.  I worked a little less than three hours.  It was really interesting to do the part of work I normally do at the end of shift, at the beginning.  I had energy.  Sleep is a wonderful thing.
  • Crocuses!!


  • After work I completed filling out the form for a passport.  I'm another step closer to being able to travel outside of the country. 
  • Keziah had a bunch of donations at her store today, DIY Craft & Thrift.  I went to help her get some of them onto the floor to sell. Tomorrow is the last day of the fabric sale she is having.  We got some more fabric out and a large quantity of books.  She also got a large quantity of plastic Easter eggs that she is hoping people will come and take tomorrow.

  • On the drive home with Zed there was a lovely sunset.  I asked him to take some pictures of it for me, since I was driving.  The following pictures are thanks to Zed.  😁

Wow, Long and PICTURES

What a wonderful day!  Here are some happy highlights and a bunch of pictures. My friend Stephanie (I got her permission to use her name) and I started out later than planned but Magalloway Mountain wasn't too long of a drive from where we camped.  After driving over miles of dirt roads we ended up at the trailhead.  We chose to go up the Bobcat Trail and down the Coot Trail.  The Bobcat Trail is a narrow trail that doubled as a small brook in places. 😉  When we got to the top of the mountain there was a trail to an overlook and we went there first.  The overlook was over a cliff, but it was beautiful and we could see so far.  The tower view was also spectacular and gave us a 360 degree view.  I don't know where the borders are, but from where we stood in New Hampshire we could see Canada and Maine, probably Vermont, too. Otter's Welcome

Some happy things from today: There is a picture I have from a few years ago of my adult children with lilacs in their hair.  This included Bel's generous beard.  Keziah picked some this morning so we could have some in our hair at an SCA event in Massachusetts, Otter's Welcome.  This is an event that is aimed with newcomers in mind.  There is a little bit of most categories to do or observe.  Keziah ran children's point.  I visited with a few people.   Keziah In the middle of the day I started falling asleep.  I ended up napping in the car for a little while.  There was a class I wanted to take, but it was when I was resting. This is also when the weather decided to rain.  That break was needed and I think I enjoyed the rest of the day more because of it. Happy Friday

There is one more night for me to work this week.  I have Sunday off and I'm back to work Monday thru Thursday.  My happy things for today: A little while after I got home from work, I remembered that I needed to do laundry.   Yay clean clothes to wear to work tonight! There was lost & found at the event last weekend.  I brought it to the studio this afternoon so that it can be returned to its owner.  I also got to see a few friends.   I also stopped by Keziah’s store and was able to see the family and some friends.  I don't usually spend so much time out and about on working days.  I'm glad I got to see people.  I'm especially glad that I was able to sit down with the family and get closer to firming out plans for this weekend and vacation.  Bel & Keziah ☮ Currently listening to: Dune Messiah , by Frank Herbert.
