The Ides of March

Some happy Friday things:

  • Yesterday I wrote about making lists of things to do. I am happy to report that I did the things on the list that I set out to do today. The only thing I didn't do was go to Craft Night because it was canceled. I also added dishes and general cleaning of the kitchen and dining room to the list this morning after I did those things. I don't remember where I read that adding things to a list after you do something is good to do. It helps a person look back on the day and see that even though they didn't get to do what they wanted to complete, they were still busy and productive. It feels good to check off items on a to do list.
  • This afternoon Nanni, our cat that has been sick, went to the door, and then the window, to watch the robins eating in the yard. I saw one pull what seemed to be a worm out of the ground! Every time Nanni does something similar to what she did before she was sick, is a good thing.

  • My friend Amy and I planned on taking a walk along a rail trail today. The weather didn't agree so we walked the Mall instead. We had a lovely visit. The Mall wasn't too crowded and we picked up some delicious smoothies on the way out.
  • One of my things to do involved visiting Nanni's vet for medical supplies.  Outside the office spring flowers were up, but not blooming yet.  There were buds though!

  • In other news, my hair is long.  The following picture is what happens when I don't pull my braid back when tying my shoe.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
