More Daffodils

Here are some happy things from today:

  • Last night I slept, better than I expected, on my friend's couch in Maine.  This morning we went out for a nice breakfast followed by a little more cleaning of the house.  It was a very nice visit.  I wish I had remembered to take some pictures.
  • On the drive home we went by a pond that I noticed a beaver hut in.  The interesting part is that there was a tree that seemed to be growing out of the beaver hut.  Again, I wish I had been able to take a picture.  The hut seemed to be in the middle of the pond.  I wonder if the water was just really high and the hut was closer to land than it appeared.
  • At home, the daffodils are blooming!

  • In the evening, Zed and I briefly attended a small gathering of people who were talking about death.  It was called the Death Cafe.  We arrived late enough that we didn't hear too many stories.  I wasn't comfortable enough to share anything.  Maybe if I attend another, I will be.  It isn't a support group.  It seems more like a safe place to discuss death and dying.

Currently listening to: A Wizard of Earthsea, by Ursula K. Le Guin.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
