More Eclipse Pictures
Happy things for this lovely Tuesday:
- It was supposed to be a working day, but we got home so late last night and I hadn't slept so I took a personal day. After sleeping later than I wanted to I still felt pretty drained, so I am glad I was able to take the time off.
- I didn't figure out what a beautiful day it was outside until the afternoon. I got my errands run and I got the sump pump to work. Two good things checked off my list.
- A walk around the yard showed me that the crocus plants have recovered quite nicely. A few maybe were squashed by the snow, or maybe they were older, the rest look great. The daffodils are getting closer to blooming. Next to the daffodils something purple is coming up. I think it is a hyacinth, but I don't remember from last year. I know I planted something new in that area last year, but I don't expect that to come up.

- Here are some more pictures from yesterday's total solar eclipse that I took on the Canon camera. I wish they had come out better. Since some of the pictures looked right in the viewfinder, I think the problem was user related. Maybe I just didn't hold still enough or something.
I took quite a few shots of the view. I hope that it shows some of the general change of the area. |

A bunch of people waiting for the eclipse to start. |

This picture was taken at least 30 minutes into the start of the eclipse. I think there was probably a larger chunk missing than the picture shows. |
Totality. It didn't look like this. |
Also totality. I made this picture a little larger. The moon looks more like a shadow in this picture, imagine that shadow black. |
Canada Geese flying towards Canada. They had settled down as the sky started to get dark. They got up and decided to find a different place after the eclipse. |

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
