A New Plant!
As I write this, the weather app on my phone says that it is 83 degrees outside. I'm too tired to enjoy it much. Each time I walk between the house and the apartment, I pause for a moment to appreciate it. Here are some happy things from today:
- After not getting much sleep last night I made it through the entire ten hour shift without falling asleep. The company made it hard, too. There was a meeting about seven hours into the shift that I had to sit down for longer than I would normally. Falling asleep in front of the person that runs the building I work in would have been bad. 😅
- A week or so ago I noticed something growing in the triangle where the tulips and crocuses are. I didn't look closely but I thought it was staghorn sumac and almost pulled it. I'm glad I didn't, I think it is the peony I planted sometime last year. Yay new plants!

- There are some other new things in the yard. I assume that the flower and gnome (pictured below) are things Keziah was gifted for Mother's Day. They are bright and cheerful and I like them.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
