Event Day in Connecticut

Happy things from today:

  • On the way out of the driveway this morning I noticed a new flower.  I think it is a paperwhite/narcissus.  Keziah commented that it bloomed just in time for Mother's Day.

  • Keziah and I went to Connecticut today for an event.  A Baron and Baroness were stepping down and a new pair stepped up in that Barony.  The former Baroness has been helpful to me over the years.  If I get the opportunity, maybe I can be helpful to the new ones.

  • We have a friend that is a leader in the youth fighting community.  She needed help and Keziah was able to step up and help marshal the youth fighters.

  • We got to visit with a dear friend and I got to hold her 14 month old for a few minutes.  He is starting to get curious.
He is napping.

  • We also had a friend elevated to the Order of the Pelican.  That is the highest level award for service in the SCA.  Like me, she received it in part for her service as an exchequer (treasurer).  She swore fealty to their Majesties and did so using many accounting puns.  It was wonderful.
I didn't have a very good seat for taking pictures.

Keziah did the calligraphy and illumination for her scroll.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
