Here are some happy things from Mother's Day:
- Keziah (my oldest) and I spent the day together at an SCA demo at the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire. We talked to some interested people, but other wonderful volunteers did most of the talking. There was a small archery range, some fighters and fencers, people spinning, weaving, sewing, and other fiber arts. There was a table with archery things, one with games, and one with Forester's items. I’m done working on the Kumihimo braid I started a really long time ago. It just needs to come off the loom and the ends tied and cleaned up. Here are some pictures from today.

- We were driving by a small wetland area and there were some ducks swimming. As my eyes traveled back to the road, I thought I saw a penguin! It was the underside of a duck with its head underwater.
- Bel (my youngest) called from Maryland to wish me a happy Mother's Day and we had a nice conversation. They plan to be visiting at the end of July.
