Nature Awakens

Although I got over six hours of sleep last night (more than usual), I was dragging considerably by the time I got out of work.  I'm hoping for another early bedtime.  Here are a few happy things from today:

  • It isn't my favorite thing to do at work, but I ended my shift doing driver assist and that is mostly outside.  Yesterday the temperature was in the low 80's, today it is in the mid 60's.  There was an occasional light mist and it was wonderful to be out in it.
  • At home the lilacs are starting to bloom and smell lovely.  I'm glad they are not a source of allergies for me.

  • The maple tree is full of leaves.  There are other trees that take their time opening leaves.
    Sugar maple.

A Norway maple and lilacs on the left.
In the back, miscellaneous trees with leaves at varying degrees of openness.

Currently listening to: The Body Keeps the Score, by Bessel Van Der Kolk.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
