Texaco
It was a long day, I worked eleven hours. Here are some happy things:
- Every day this week I plan to bring a few things from my old bedroom in the house to the apartment. Today that was just two armloads full, but it was something. I found a tiny thing that I have been holding onto that I threw away.
- On my travels to and from work, I drive by an old Texaco station. It has been closed for many, many years. For whatever reason, I've enjoyed watching it get older. Today there was road construction so traffic was stopped. I had the chance to take a picture.
- The Learning Ambassador position I applied for went to others. They had two openings, nine people applied, and I was third in line. I didn't expect to get the position. It was nice to hear that I was so close in the running. My application stays on file for 90 days, if there is another opening in that time, it theoretically goes to me.
