Happy things from Sunday;

  • It was a great day to sleep in a little.  I am so very thankful to be part of a meal plan this year.  Waking up to have someone hand me food is wonderful.
  • Gideon and Zed arrived.
  • Keziah and I attended the Runnymede dinner tonight.  Runnymede is like a household for all the barons and baronesses in the East Kingdom.  We talk about different things that go well or that don't within our Baronies.  It is a great way to network and discuss how different groups do things.  The food they served was pretty good too.  There was a lentil salad that I was surprised I liked.
  • After that, I headed to the Performance Tent to watch i Sebastiani perform.  They are the troupe I performed with a few years ago.  Tonight's performance was very well done.  I got to laugh a bunch.  There are always a few people there that I know and get to visit for a few minutes.  That is always nice.

Final Post for 2024

--Here are some happy things from this last day of the year: It was a working day for me.  It was busy and I left early.  I had three and a half hours of PTO and I decided to use them.  There was internal guilt, but everyone I told that I had PTO to use, agreed that I needed to use my time. Since I was home a little early, I went to DIY Craft & Thrift and helped finish up the store reset.  The store looks great and somehow seems to be more spacious.   After a nap, I went to the party Keziah and Zed were having.  The theme has to do with toasting in the New Year with jam.  Jam-bor-brie is what they called it this year.  I got to spend time with friends visiting and playing games.  I learned two new games; The Isle of Cats and Dixit.  We also played Carcassonne.   It was a lot of fun.  I need to play games more often. Drinking Water

Some happy things from today: At work, I was assigned to the Problem Solve area.  This is always good.  However, I also got to train someone else for that task.  I'm not a Learning Ambassador, but it was nice to train someone. At home, I chose down time.  I even took a nap.  The alarm I set to wake me so I could get Gideon at school, did not keep me awake.  Thankfully, Zed was home and woke me up.  Hopefully I'll be able to fall asleep when I need to.  Gideon wants to start an after school improv club.  Nanni, our brown tabby, is still not as happy as we would like.  She was drinking water this afternoon and I was told she ate some today.  These are very good things.  Drinking water. Boxes

Here are a few happy things from my very tired today: When I got to work this morning the coworker I wrote about yesterday was entering the building at the same time as me.  I asked him if he was still happy about the boxes.  He told me how he had spent time yesterday organizing everything for ease of use.  I'm happy that he is happy. The lilacs have a short lifespan.  They still look and smell nice.  This might be my last picture of them though.   There are other flowers that will bloom soon.  I do love the lilacs. Lilacs TF sent me a package.  It is a llama mug that changes color with warm liquid.   The mug is covered with little pieces of Styrofoam.  Apparently the trip was bumpy.  Still, it arrived safely.      ☮ Currently listening to: Dune , by Frank Herbert.
