Working Title

Happy Wednesday things:

  • Work went fairly well last night.  This is the second day in a row I've stayed about an hour late.  It has been busy and there has been a bunch to do.  
  • What I thought was the last rose seems to have blossomed a sibling?  It makes for a pretty splash of color.



  • I don't draw well.  Perhaps I'm coming to terms with this.  Since I am behind on the Inktober prompts I did two today.  My skill is lacking, but even if it isn't obvious in the work, I like what I'm trying for and that my imagination wants to wake up in this way.

What a wonderful day!  Here are some happy highlights and a bunch of pictures. My friend Stephanie (I got her permission to use her name) and I started out later than planned but Magalloway Mountain wasn't too long of a drive from where we camped.  After driving over miles of dirt roads we ended up at the trailhead.  We chose to go up the Bobcat Trail and down the Coot Trail.  The Bobcat Trail is a narrow trail that doubled as a small brook in places. 😉  When we got to the top of the mountain there was a trail to an overlook and we went there first.  The overlook was over a cliff, but it was beautiful and we could see so far.  The tower view was also spectacular and gave us a 360 degree view.  I don't know where the borders are, but from where we stood in New Hampshire we could see Canada and Maine, probably Vermont, too. Final Post for 2024

--Here are some happy things from this last day of the year: It was a working day for me.  It was busy and I left early.  I had three and a half hours of PTO and I decided to use them.  There was internal guilt, but everyone I told that I had PTO to use, agreed that I needed to use my time. Since I was home a little early, I went to DIY Craft & Thrift and helped finish up the store reset.  The store looks great and somehow seems to be more spacious.   After a nap, I went to the party Keziah and Zed were having.  The theme has to do with toasting in the New Year with jam.  Jam-bor-brie is what they called it this year.  I got to spend time with friends visiting and playing games.  I learned two new games; The Isle of Cats and Dixit.  We also played Carcassonne.   It was a lot of fun.  I need to play games more often. Changes

Here are some happy things from today: It started out as one of those days that I was just happy to make it to work.  Then I was doing things that made me feel motion sick.  Thankfully, I started feeling better about halfway through my day.  That is also when I was told that I made the cut and will be getting trained to be a Learning Ambassador in October.  I wasn't expecting this because I've been told no a few times now.  However, I'm happy I'll be learning new things and teaching what I already know. Today was Gideon's first day of eighth grade.  He got home from school, told us all about his day, and snuggled onto the big bean bag couch for a nap.  Keziah found out that Gideon didn't need the notebook he got for math class because he is in highschool algebra.  There was no homework assigned. ☮ Currently listening to: Tehanu , by Ursula K.
