Busy Day

This morning, I expected to hurt more from yesterday's hike and I didn't.  I also had more energy than I expected.  Here are some other happy things from this lovely Monday:

  • Keziah had a pickup this morning of donations for her store, DIY Craft & Thrift.  It was from one lady that has been donating since the beginning.  I helped fill Keziah’s van with craft supplies (mostly yarn).  Then we unloaded at the store.  The picture is the pile at the store.

  • Afterwards, we worked in the living room of the apartment.  Things were moved around and better organized.  There is still a bunch more to do.  I'm hoping to get the room a little more usable this week, while still storing lots of boxes.  


  • After lunch, I met friends for a walk at Livingston Park.  The park has been partly closed for renovations for a while.  It was good to be back there.  It is a more or less central location for the four of us that met there this time.  A nice walk and great company made for a wonderful day.

Wow, Long and PICTURES

What a wonderful day!  Here are some happy highlights and a bunch of pictures. My friend Stephanie (I got her permission to use her name) and I started out later than planned but Magalloway Mountain wasn't too long of a drive from where we camped.  After driving over miles of dirt roads we ended up at the trailhead.  We chose to go up the Bobcat Trail and down the Coot Trail.  The Bobcat Trail is a narrow trail that doubled as a small brook in places. 😉  When we got to the top of the mountain there was a trail to an overlook and we went there first.  The overlook was over a cliff, but it was beautiful and we could see so far.  The tower view was also spectacular and gave us a 360 degree view.  I don't know where the borders are, but from where we stood in New Hampshire we could see Canada and Maine, probably Vermont, too. Otter's Welcome

Some happy things from today: There is a picture I have from a few years ago of my adult children with lilacs in their hair.  This included Bel's generous beard.  Keziah picked some this morning so we could have some in our hair at an SCA event in Massachusetts, Otter's Welcome.  This is an event that is aimed with newcomers in mind.  There is a little bit of most categories to do or observe.  Keziah ran children's point.  I visited with a few people.   Keziah In the middle of the day I started falling asleep.  I ended up napping in the car for a little while.  There was a class I wanted to take, but it was when I was resting. This is also when the weather decided to rain.  That break was needed and I think I enjoyed the rest of the day more because of it. Happy Friday

There is one more night for me to work this week.  I have Sunday off and I'm back to work Monday thru Thursday.  My happy things for today: A little while after I got home from work, I remembered that I needed to do laundry.   Yay clean clothes to wear to work tonight! There was lost & found at the event last weekend.  I brought it to the studio this afternoon so that it can be returned to its owner.  I also got to see a few friends.   I also stopped by Keziah’s store and was able to see the family and some friends.  I don't usually spend so much time out and about on working days.  I'm glad I got to see people.  I'm especially glad that I was able to sit down with the family and get closer to firming out plans for this weekend and vacation.  Bel & Keziah ☮ Currently listening to: Dune Messiah , by Frank Herbert.
