Memory

Fridays are becoming a day that I don't get much done.  I'm going to try to work on that next week.  Here are some happy things from today:

  • This morning I woke up early and stayed in bed way too long.  Eventually I got up and cleaned the bathroom before taking a shower.  This seemed like a wonderful accomplishment.  The internet grabbed me again after and I didn't have breakfast until about noon.  The research rabbit hole and short videos took up more time than it should.  There is another item in my online cart to be ordered and my bathroom is clean.  That is two wins.
  • My friend, TF, called in the afternoon.  We talked for around two hours.  During that time I took a walk, saw the sunset, and the full moon rise.

The white glow among the trees is the moon.

Sunset and Venus.

  • For a short time I went through a box.  There are things from that box that I want to keep, and some I don't.  There are craft things like fabric scraps, used buttons, patterns, pipe cleaners, etc in the box.  For some reason my cousin, Mary, has been on my mind.  She was a folk artist that worked with vintage fabric and buttons.  For a while she made large dolls. Her “fame” came from pictures that she made from buttons and embroidery.  I have a picture she made from when she was transitioning from the dolls to the buttons.  Anyhow, it was nice to remember her and the lovely things she made.  When I Google her, her art comes up on Pinterest and other places.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.

  1. I remember cousin Mary very fondly. She was so creative as are you and Keziah. I marvel at such creativity. Judy
