Sick

There was a party today for my birthday, but I didn't attend. It was a shared party with a friend who is about to turn 40. It seemed to make sense to combine the parties. I woke up with a miserable head cold and decided to not share. Instead, I spent the day in my little apartment, mostly in bed. Here is a short list of happy things from today:
  • All the hiking and camping I did this summer and fall meant that I had shelf stable food to eat. Usually, I eat in the house, today I chose to stay separated. Even when they were gone to the party, the temperature was in the teens today. Staying inside was best for me.  Yay, food!
  • There were a few private messages that people sent me throughout the day when they learned I wouldn't be at the party. That was very nice. I miss seeing friends.  Hearing from them helped with that.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
