2024 Happy Blog Challenge Continues

Here are some happy Tuesday things: At work I started doing the task of picker.  Soon I was moved to the stowing task.  At break I was talking with coworkers about which tasks I would rather be in.  I said that for me, a bad day in Problem Solve is better than a good day stowing.  After lunch, Problem Solve needed help and I was moved there.  My coworker looked at me and I just smiled. The other coworker I had been talking to was moved to the aisles where I had been stowing.  I'd feel bad for him, but I'm not sure he minds as much.  I ended up working a twelve hour day because there were a lot of problems.  I still prefer Problem Solve.  Gideon will be running a Dungeons and Dragons campaign on Tuesday nights via the internet.  When I saw him this afternoon he was excited about it.  I'm happy for him.  Drive by foliage. Happy Monday!  Here are some things that brought some joy to me today: On Mondays I try to get up early so I can get to sleep in the afternoon to be able to get up to work overnight Tuesday. I woke up before my alarm and I got some exercises in this morning.  Since I like spreadsheets, I also started one to keep track of what exercises I'm getting done. It is my goal to get at least something done everyday, more on days I don't work. Today I got a little bit of everything on the list done. The list will probably grow as I think of more more parts to exercise.  This afternoon I got to walk with my friends Amy and Stephanie. We walked along the Rockingham Rail Trail near Lake Massabesic. It was much busier than I expected for a Monday. We also had high temperatures around 79 degrees, so maybe I should have expected it.  Nice walk, great company. Ducks!  Happy things from today: This day started so much better than yesterday.  I got up at a reasonable time and went for a walk.  It was soon after dawn.  I saw a blue heron fly from the swamp it was in. Herons are so big!  There wasn't time for a picture. According to the news, foliage is at peak in this part of the state.  Most trees have turned color, a few are a little behind.  Moon It is Sunday so I went to the cafe with a friend this morning.  It was just the two of us since the other people who usually go are currently out of state.  I ordered something a little different than I tend to and it was really good.  The company was lovely. There was archery practice today with my friend Stephanie.  Amy was there, too and three other people.  It was a good turnout.  I shot okay, but not consistently, so my scores aren't quite as high as I'd like.  It was a lot of fun.  It would be great if I could take my highest s...

Most of the day I did a lot of nothing.  Eventually I got moving and have some happy things to share: It was a beautiful fall day with temperatures reaching over 70 degrees.  I decided to walk to DIY Craft & Thrift and get a ride home from there with Zed.  It was a lovely walk and definitely helped to improve my mood and the achy back I've had recently.  Keziah called from the SCA event she went to this weekend.  The event is not in our Barony but she managed to get a Baronial Youth Fighting Champion.  This is something I kept thinking we should do, but I never remembered at the right time.   It sounds like it was a fun event.  There may even be some local war shtick that could come out of this. Here are some happy things from today. At work, I survived a shift of stowing.  For this, and other reasons, I should practice squatting more often.  Perhaps it is time for me to find an exercise challenge.  I seem to do well with challenges like that. On the way home TF called.  We hadn't talked for a while.  Embarrassingly, I eventually fell asleep during our conversation.  I guess it has been a long week.  We ended our conversation and I took a nap.  My alarm goes off at 3:30 every afternoon.  Soon after that Keziah called.  This helped wake me up enough to go eat.  Food is important.  Keziah thought Zed was going somewhere tonight and I might like to join him. He wasn't, so I went and rested for a few minutes.  Hours later I woke up.  I missed Craft Night and had eighteen minutes to get a DuoLingo lesson done before midnight.  🤣 It was a work, sleep, eat kind of day.  Thankfully I thought to get a pictu...

Here are some happy things from today: It was a beautiful day.  I did something that I don't usually do, I drove with my window down.  My hair is very long and driving with the windows down generally means hair in my face which can make driving difficult.  Oddly enough, I didn't really feel the air come in.  I'm not sure if it had to do with the weather, the speed of the car, or some aerodynamic aspect of the car.  The air was still fresher than with them closed, and that was nice. After work I had some shopping to do and asked Keziah if she needed anything.  She asked for a broom for the store so I picked one up and brought it to her.  She gave me a big hug when I got there.  I was only able to visit for a few minutes because I had refrigerator items in the car from shopping.  It was nice to see her, and a few of the people that work at the store with her too. One of the refrigerator items was eggnog.  The food is one of the best parts ...

 Here are some happy things from today: This was the second day in a row that I was assigned to the Problem Solve area at work.  Yesterday we were super busy the entire time.  Today we started out super busy but ended everything on time.  So much on time that there was plenty of time to spend working in the hazardous materials area and getting caught up there.  It was a good night at work. There is a calendar at work that lets us know what is happening for events.  Do I look at it?  Not really.  It happened to catch my eye as I walked by today.  There might have been writing for today on that calendar.  There were donuts during break.
